Bodyshop Manager
Location: Northallerton
Simon Bailes Ltd. have an excellent opportunity for a Bodyshop Manager. This role will report to the Head of Operations and be responsible for successfully managing all aspects of the operation of our excellent Accident Repair Centre in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate a successful track record within a similar role in the Motor Industry and preferably with Main Dealer / Franchise experience. You will also be able to give examples of your ability to generate impressive results by increasing performance, profitability and operating efficiencies. With strong leadership and people management skills your primary focus is to lead your team and motivate them to achieve their business objectives. In the role you will drive the business forward and maximise customer satisfaction whilst managing and motivating the team around you. You will share the company values of putting the customer first in all we do and deliver this on a daily basis in your leadership, communication and organisation skills.

About The Role
As Bodyshop Manager you will be responsible for a number of key business performance areas, including:
· Ensuring that all areas of responsibility achieve and maximise profit margins within their objectives/annual budget.
. Conduct all estimates accurately and efficiently in line with company policy.
· Carry out Bodyshop quality control checks.
· To continually review the financial position, examining all accounts, daily and weekly operating controls and dealer composite figures along with franchise/industry KPI’s, taking corrective measures and actions as deemed necessary.
· Performance analysis to identify areas of weakness and appropriate, targeted marketing activity.
· Using the external analysis undertaken, carry out internal analysis to ensure business is competitive within the market place.
· Ensure Company HR policies are followed correctly.
· Ensure that area of responsibility complies with relevant legislation on consumer law, trade descriptions, FSA Regulations for insurance etc.
· Ensure that steps are taken to provide safe working and that processes are followed and provision of H&S legislation is complied with.
About The Candidate:
With a genuine desire to deliver a service that puts the customer first and provide industry-leading performance and outstanding customer experience, to be considered for this position the ideal candidate will:
· Have experience (ideally a minimum of 5 years) in a bodyshop role, or similar, within the Motor Industry and preferably with Main Dealer / Franchise experience.
· Be able to demonstrate team leader experience and ability to manage and motivating an operational team to deliver against targets.
· Be able to provide examples of where they have driven business performance through increasing profitability and operating efficiencies.
· Show how in your roles you have truly put customers first and maximised customer satisfaction and delivered an exceptional customer experience.
· Be naturally organised, flexible and a genuine team player.
· Self motivated with the ability to inspire, lead and develop employees to achieve their full potential.
· Able to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
· A full UK driving licence is essential.
