Rural Arts in Thirsk Embraces Environmental Responsibility with New Electric Vehicle from Simon Bailes Peugeot in Northallerton

Rural Arts, a charity dedicated to delivering inspiring and inclusive creative opportunities, has taken a significant step towards reducing its carbon footprint and expanding its outreach efforts across North Yorkshire. Rural Arts has recently acquired a Peugeot e-Rifter from Simon Bailes Peugeot, a reputable automotive dealer with locations in Northallerton, Stockton-On-Tees and Guisborough, that will enable them to bring creativity and cultural experiences to communities throughout the region.

As a non-profit organisation, Rural Arts is a charity that delivers inspiring and inclusive creative opportunities that enrich lives and connect communities. Providing over 400 events and activities a year from their community arts centre in Thirsk, Rural Arts strive to be environmentally friendly. With its ever-extending outreach programme that reaches many individuals across North Yorkshire, this pool car will allow them to sustain their mission and reduce carbon footprint.

This versatile vehicle will enable the organisation to travel efficiently and sustainably, reaching individuals and communities across North Yorkshire with their enriching creative programs and events. By incorporating electric transportation into its operations, Rural Arts is taking proactive steps to reduce its environmental impact, setting an example for other charitable organisations in the region.

Rural Arts, celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year, has been instrumental in enriching lives and fostering community connections through its diverse range of creative opportunities. To mark this achievement, an exhibition will be held to share its journey so far. This event will be open to the public from the 6th to the 17th of June, from 10:00-16:00, with free entry at the old courthouse in Thirsk.
