Simon Bailes Peugeot taking orders for the e-208 now!

Added: 11 December 2019

The new Peugeot e-208, represents a significant milestone in EV mainstream motoring.

The 208 is a successful staple of the small city car market and the new model will be available in pure electric form, with a highly useable 211-mile range, enough to satisfy all but the hardest of hard-core commuters.

Designed to look identical to the rest of the range, it is only discernible by the blue-green tinge to its iconic Lion logo and the e-208 badging.

Peugeot is offering the e-208 in the trim options of Active, Allure, GT Line and GT. All feature active safety braking with pedestrian detection, heated door mirrors and LED daytime running lights. The e-208 also features cabin pre-heating.

The e-208 is a pleasure to drive with 100% electric driving delivering new dynamics including: a smooth drive without vibration; sharp acceleration thanks to immediate engine torque; a silent engine offering a serene driving experience and 0g CO2 emissions in driving phase.

Investing in the e-208 helps protect the environment from polluting emissions and will save you money thanks to an energy cost that is lower than fossil fuels; reduced maintenance costs; government subsidy of up to £3,500 and use of ECO mode.

The all-important statistics are that a 7kW charger will take around eight hours to fully charge the battery.

A 100kW charger, currently being rolled out across the country, allows an owner to recharge between 20 and 80 per cent in just 30 minutes while a 50kW charger, commonly found at motorway services, takes 40 minutes.

The all-new Peugeot e-208 offers fast and intuitive charging and freedom to drive in the city even those with emission restriction zones.

Driving information can be easily accessed through the 3D digital instrument panel and can also be projected, like a hologram, via the colour touchscreen. The display incorporates:

  • Driving mode: Eco/Normal/Sport
  • Battery level
  • Animation of specific information illustrating the operation of the powertrain in real time.

Simon Bailes said: “The 208 has been a favourite on the roads ever since its launch in 2012, but the all-electric version is another huge leap forward in the move towards zero emissions not only for this model but the Peugeot brand.”

Simon Bailes Peugeot are taking orders for the e-208 now and first deliveries are expected in early 2020.
