The new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT is comfortable in all situations and can be adapted to suit all trades with a workspace that makes daily life easier, latest-generation on-board technologies and an assertive style.
Allowing unrestricted access to city centres, the new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT is creating a new offer in the compact van segment with a 100% electric engine.
A perfect example of power of choice, the new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT comes with:
- 2 levels of autonomy providing up to 330 km in WLTP approval cycle,
- 3 lengths (Compact, Standard and Long),
- a towing capacity of 1000 kg and a payload of 1275 kg,
- the same loading volume as the internal combustion version, up to 6.6 m³.
All the original qualities of the PEUGEOT Expert, no compromising and now with zero emissions.
IVOTY:
Under this acronym lies the "International Van of the Year" award, the most prestigious award for a commercial vehicle. The winner is elected each year by the votes of a jury made up of 25 international journalists (Europe, Russia and Turkey), representing 25 magazines specialised in this segment.
The winning vehicle will be able to display the "International Van of the Year" logo on its bodywork for one year. This prize reflects the commitment of all the PEUGEOT e-EXPERT project teams.
The PEUGEOT brand has won this famous prize six times since its creation in 1992:
- 1994 : PEUGEOT BOXER
- 1997 : PEUGEOT PARTNER
- 2008 : PEUGEOT EXPERT
- 2009 : PEUGEOT BIPPER
- 2019 : PEUGEOT PARTNER
- 2021 : PEUGEOT e-EXPERT
A strong and distinctive style, Next Gen e-Van by PEUGEOT
True to the brand's concept of power of choice, the new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT retains the muscular, robust and accented style of the internal combustion versions, complemented by several distinctive features.
On the outside:
- Dichroic Lions (a process that changes colour depending on the angle of view), at the front and rear, which come with the "Pack Look" option,
- a load hatch on the left front wing,
- a specific intermediate grille,
- an "e-Expert" monogram on the back.
On the inside:
- an analogue handset with a colour matrix adapted to the electrical system,
- specific graphics for the central touch screen with TomTom Traffic 3D Connected Navigation, which now includes the available charging points and the range according to the remaining autonomy,
- a new "e-Toggle" automatic gearbox control,
- a driving mode selector switch for navigating between modes:
- Eco (60 kW, 190 Nm): promotes autonomy,
- Normal (80 kW, 210 Nm): optimal for everyday use,
- Power (100 kW, 260 Nm): optimises performance when transporting heavy loads
- an electric parking brake.
Driving pleasure and practicality in everyday life: Next Gen e-Van abilities
The new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT combines compact external dimensions with maximum loading capacities. The batteries are located under the floor, without any impact on the loading volume. This positioning also promotes rigidity, ensuring driving pleasure and enjoyment just like with the internal combustion versions thanks to optimal weight distribution.
The driver of the new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT is comfortable in all situations, with a specially adapted power steering system that makes driving easier and with a turning circle diameter of 11.3 m as always (Compact version between kerbs) and a height limited to 1.90 m (depending on version) that guarantees access to most car parks.
The new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT is available in the same versions as the internal combustion engines in order to meet all uses:
- Vans (3 lengths: Compact 4.6 m, Standard 4.95 m and Long 5.30 m),
- Deep cabins (5 or 6 seats, fixed or folding, in Standard and Long lengths),
- Cabin floor (for bodywork conversions, in standard length).
Modularity continues to set the standard in the segment with the Moduwork 3-seater bench, thanks to the hatch in the partition and the base of the side seat that folds up.
Towing capacity remains the same with the possibility of towing a load of up to 1000 kg.
The payload volume up to 6.6 m³ is exactly the same as for internal combustion engines and the payload up to 1275 kg is specific to the electric drive.
100% Electric technology, Next Gen e-Van efficiency
Based on the EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform) multi-energy modular platform, the NEW PEUGEOT e-EXPERT offers a 100% electric drive with a maximum power of 100 KW and a maximum torque of 260 Nm available from start-up for immediate responsiveness, without vibration, noise, gear shifting, smell and, of course, CO2 emissions.
The new PEUGEOT e-Expert is the first PEUGEOT electric vehicle to offer a double range of autonomy. Depending on requirements, the available capacities of the lithium-ion batteries are 50 kWh and 75 kWh.
The versions (Compact, Standard and Long) available with the 50 kWh capacity battery can reach a range of up to 230 km according to the WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedures) approval protocol.
The Standard and Long versions can also be equipped with a 75 kWh capacity battery with a range of up to 330 km, according to the same approval protocol.
Two types of on-board chargers are available to meet all customer needs and charging solutions, with a 7.4 kW single-phase charger as standard and an 11 kW three-phase charger as an option.
- from a standard socket (8A): for a full charge in 31 hours (50 kWh battery) or 47 hours (75 kWh battery),
- from a reinforced socket (16A): for a full charge in 15h (50 kWh battery) or 23h (75 kWh battery),
- from a 7.4 kW Wall Box: full charge in 7h30 (50kWh battery) or 11h20 (75kWh battery) with the single-phase on-board charger (7.4 kW),
- from an 11 kW Wall Box: full charge in 5h (50kWh battery) or 7h30 (75kWh battery) with the on-board three-phase charger (11 kW),
- from a public charging station: the thermal regulation of the battery makes it possible to use 100 kW chargers and reach 80% of the charge in 30 minutes (50 kWh battery) or 45 minutes (75 kWh battery).
PEUGEOT’s ecosystem
In order to support its customers through the energy transition, the PEUGEOT brand is launching a range of services based on three pillars:
PEUGEOT Easy charge facilitates our customers' access to charging solutions:
- At home with a reinforced socket or a Wallbox installation offer,
- To the 190,000 public charging points in Europe via a charging pass allowing access to the network.
PEUGEOT Easy move ensures the mobility of our customers:
- They plan long journeys via the "Trip planner" tool available on smartphones via the "Free2move services" application,
- Rental services meet their specific needs via the "Mobility Pass" package.
PEUGEOT Easy care reassures our customers:
- Digital routes let them explore electric power,
- Service and roadside assistance contracts allow them to enjoy their vehicle with peace of mind,
- The battery is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 kilometres for 70% of its charge capacity. A certificate of capacity is issued at each service to facilitate resale.
A deferred charge can be programmed from the Connected Navigation screen or from the MyPeugeot® smartphone application (depending on version). This system also makes it possible to start or defer charging at any time and to check the charging status.
The new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT offers a tailor-made response to satisfy ever more needs and will be available in the PRO and PREMIUM finish levels as well as the "ready to go" ASPHALT (for drivers) and URBAN (for city use) versions. Each version can be equipped with the latest technology and driving aids.
The new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT has been available in Europe since mid-November.
The production plant, located in France near Valenciennes (59), is up and running to fulfil the growing number of orders as quickly as possible.
